Mark D'Haese position: CEO
degree: Industrial Engineer, MBA
employed since september 1991
After a year of practical training in the United States and his schooling as an engineer, Mark joined the company as a sales engineer and as the right hand of his father, who was managing the company at that time. In that position, Mark was able to gain firsthand experience about the possibilities and the limitations of metal presswork technology, while learning to calculate cost prices and gaining insight into the techniques and pitfalls of negotiations. Already at that time he realised that it was necessary to expand the product range. Culobel saw and grasped the opportunity of producing pressure vessels, launching this activity as a second and supplementary area of the company activities. It was Mark himself who brought these products, together with a customer from Japan, to Culobel.

The shareholders had in the meantime understood that Mark had a good nose for business, and they therefore proposed in 1996 that he should take over the general and commercial management of the company, which he has led ever since. Mark has started and expanded the company in the Czech Republic from scratch, in cooperation with Wim de Coninck. close
